... is what you get when the weather is nice, the traffic is polite, and your riding buddies smiling right next to you... this is from last Sunday, blasting from Mampang's Finest to have a good time..

2011 opening ride...

ecstasy... you know those addictive substances right..?? well, i guess that's what our opening ride feels like.. *in a good kinda way* on the night of January 2nd, the four of us gathered in front of Vellodome, a fixed gear bicycle shop, trying to find a decent place to eat while enjoying the incredible weather that night.. Joshua on his Sportster, Eby on the '10 Bonnie, Vero on The Pan, and i took Marni to stroll around the southern part of Jakarta for some steak and beers.. the bikes run flawless, and we found this German-style-bar called Die Stube to chow some barbequed meat and talk some stories... if only there are 30 hour on Sunday nights, we wouldn't be headin home after that... but we did, and with a big smile upon our face, to welcome 2011.

Happy New Year bor... may you all had one hell of a kickstart for this year..!!

heating up 'n cooling down....

last Sunday morning's plan was to heat up Marni and taking her out for a ride... well, so does Desu and Vero eager to take a ride in the morning... and after a nice chat at Kickass Choppers HQ, we're off to filled up the bike and search for some breakfast...

we ended up at this small East Java style food depot... first thing we ordered orange juice-coconut water to wash the thirst away...!! and then some food... Iman and Ical the stop by and join us for the chat...

later, we split to Rocket, again to cool off... meet up with some friends and some cold ice tea...

some BMX guys showed up that day, with their boxes and some ramps, doing their neat tricks and grinds... one guy even try to jump off from the upper part of the parking lot.. a healthy 6 feet of height..!!

after a while, we try to heat things up again with some satay... Padang style..!! complete with some kampong style Krupuks... to cool off after that, a handfull amount of ice Doger... with its tasty two type of tapai.. slrrp...!!

one more splendid weekend closed with amazing activities with good friends..!! can't wait to see you again bors..!!

Supreme Sunday..!!

yesterday was all about good friends, good food, and of course great rides...!! i started the day by riding with my club's El-Presidente to this so-called biker gathering at the newly-refurbished-upscaled Hotel Indonesia Kempinski... but to us, what matter the most is the food..!! they served this amazing chicken meatloaf with sunny side up and caramelized onions with black pepper. along with fried chicken burger, and curry sausages... as you can see on the picture above, my El-Presidente Komeng, Adit, Vero, Rudi, Mr. Ismud, and Kemal is on full charge..!!

it's kinda a big marketing event, so the guys from the Mabua H-D dealership is there too.. that's my old General Manager, Vino on my left, and my old buddy Yoyo on the far left... Jacky later shows up, and as always, good laughters came after..

on our way out of the place, we met-up with Jawir on his Shovelhead and his brother Anto on his Yamaha XS650 on the parking lot... and ask them to tag along for the ride... where to..??

to Rocket Motorcycle for some cooling off... with jugs of cool iced tea.. yeah..!!

then we're off to our main event for the day... the guys from Kickass Choppers and Rocket Motorcycle with Podomoro City present this Chopper Festival & Gearhead Gathering... what's in it..?? obviously cool motorcycles with burgers, hotdogs, and beers..!!

Sammy catch up with us not long after, and parked his bike right next to Kemal's... neat picture huh..?? i guess yesterday was Kemal's last ride with his yellow chop, since today she goes to her new owner... and Kemal scheduled to get an Evo Dyna tonight... *let me know when she arrived bor, i'll swing by your place to check her out...*

well, yesterday has passed, and it put a big grin on my face... on our face..!! have a pleasant week ahead bor, hope this one could be a blast too...

last night is about...

going to a wedding reception with my club, Blind Eagle MC Jakarta... we gathered at our friend Jawir's shop, Stonehead Choppers late afternoon... we were waiting for everybody to arrived and ride just after the sun sets...

some Flatheads arrived... an UL and a tricked out WL showed up to join the ride...

even this lovly peach FatBoy... yum..!! is that a stock colour..??

and as the night starts, off we go..!! stopped a while for gas... that's the recently newlyweds Donny and Ayu, and Bayu on the Peachy-Boy...

once we arrived..?? Food...!!! got me a plate of prime ribs with all the fixings, two bowl of Thai steamboats, a plate of rice with Dendeng Balado, and for dessert, a pudding made of coconut water... i'm full....!!!

no need to worry folks, that's not beer... it's a bubly sugar cane juice...

fat and greasy weekend...!!!

last Friday was a public holiday in Indonesia, so we've got a long weekend to closed out February... i snoozed most of Friday and prepared for a super fun-tastic Saturday... why?? because me, Vero and Ade went to this trip to a museum in the old part of the town... 97.9FM Female Radio held a museum trip and have the surrounding street food vendors to cater... Nasi Ulam, Rujak Bebek, Es Potong, Tahu Gejrot, Es Selendang Mayang (which is very rare, and soo hard to find nowadays) and a glass of ice Liang Tea really puts me in a "full" mode.. and all is good..!! so good, it makes me forgot to take picture of them...

well, the food bonanza continues thru the night where Nadya and i got to eat at 7Eleven... yes folks, Hotdogs..!! with all you can dump melted cheesse, chilli, onion and relish... we got three of them, and to wash the thirst away, a Big Gulp of Coke and of course, Slurpeess...!!!

the night ends with this caramelized banana with pecan crust and ice cream on top at Potato Head... yumm..!!

Sunday morning is started with a ride to Jalan Juanda where we have breakfast at Happy Day diner... Vero, Ade, Tony, Adit and me is hungry for food...!!

the menu: two sunny side up, two hash brown, three sausages, a slice of bacon, baked beans, and this super amazing french toast with brown sugar and cinnamon... and oh, we also have onion rings..

the sun was shining strong yesterday, but for some reason the clouds kinda covers us during our way back...

we stopped by at Prapanca where one of our friend Arya had an accident earlier that morning... somebody from the opposite side of the road run thru the red light... thank God no broken anything or major injuries, just a few scratches... wishing you a speedy recovery bor..!!we had to stop by at the police station for some paperwork about the accident... and saw this murals on their parking lot... i guess some of them are considering to put on supercharges on their patrol car... ngartii..!!

then later that afternoon, me, Vero, Ade, Wira and Guita went to Howling Wolf for the in-store signing of Seringai's "Generasi Menolak Tua" DVD... i posted more pictures of the event on SSMC's Blog...

super weekend that closed the month of Februari... i'm full and happy..!!

yesterday's ride...

super sunny Sunday yesterday morning, and i'm taking Marni out for a ride with my club, Blind Eagle MC... the plan is to go to ISHD's record breaking attempt for most people riding a single motorcycle... anyway, as you can see, she's stipped now, but left the "couch" still attached... and i put on my old mini-ape just to balance the look.. we gathered at Jalan Patiunus for some chicken pooridge breakfast and waited for others to arrived..

one of our friend, Endang Dartiman showed up with his Panhead... he is one of those guys who just refuses to get old... that's a real Panhead motor and frame (from the early '50s if i'm not mistaken) mated with some electric starter and 5 speed gearbox...

it's an open beltdrive with a neat tin cover on it, with mid control... but my favorite, is his ignition switch... some how i liked that old switch being placed there... after everybody showed up, we head down to Kelapa Gading, on the eastern part of Jakarta... it was quite a ride from the southern part, along with Jakarta's traffic... as we approach our destination, we saw this fellow pushing his bike... it's a WL.. with upswept cocktail shakers.. red grips.. it's John McEnaney..!! we stopped to lend our hand.. he got a bit of weak spark... after a few sand paper on the spark plug, the motor roars back to life... but then, it's Marni's turn to refuse to start... we had to jumpstart the FXR.. we made it to the venue, but i didn't enjoy it as much as i would have if i didn't have any electrical problem...

we only spent about two hours there and had to split back home... the ride home was AMAZING as i rode an FXR and cutting thru Jakarta's traffic and big roads... next order of business, electrical diagnose...!!

it's been a year...

since i ride with JRX and Sadix.. it was JRX's maiden voyage on his new bike if i'm not mistaken.. and of course Sam, he always knows how to make a good laugh.. it's Sunday folks..!! take out your ride, put some twist on the throttle, and have a good time.. cheers..!!

yesterday's ride was an Alumni Day...

yesterday, the ladies of HOG Jakarta Chapter cater a charity run for the victims of the West Sumatra's earthquake.. but, for the three of us, it was a reunion of the Part & Accesories guys of the Jakarta's H-D dealership, which have moved out of the company for better opportunities.. me and Wira meet up with our old Parts Manager, Charisma.. we gather at Circle-K near Wira's house and ride to the dealership..the dealership found a new way to customized a Sportster.. turn it in to a police bike..!!

i meet up with an old sweetheart.. my old company car, a '06 VRSCR Street Rod.. nobody else in the dealership wanted to ride it because it's a V-rod, but it was a fun bike to ride.. and accelerate like a bullet..!! Wira used to tease me whenever i rode it, he ended up accessorizing almost 6 V-Rod later that year..

Part guys rules...!! that's my and Wira's old work station on the showroom floor.. we sold a whole lotta parts back then...

yes folks, we do have two of them here in Indonesia...

we tagged along the convoy for about 10 minutes then bailed out from the rows of baggers to get some breakfast.. lotsa laugh, good weather, superb ride.. it' always good to ride with good friends..
