the sun sets, the night starts to fall, and the tummy started to rumble... and what else to think about in Jimbaran..?? Seafood..!! i had this grilled white Snapper on Menega Restaurant with some Water-cress salad and Sambal Matah on the side... and of course, two glass of ice tea..
the ride back to Kuta area is kinda long, so i felt slightly hungry again, so i stopped by at the one and only Twice Diner..!! the name Mexicano Burger is calling me to make an order, and voila, this juicy burger appears..!! it surely got a tasty-thick-juicy patty that taste soooo good..!!! the salsa and cheese surely added the fresh and rich taste to the burger...
the next morning, i woke up late, eat breakfast at the hotel, took a swim, and still couldn't get the burger from last night out of my mind... so i went back to Twice Diner again, but this time it's the On-Fire Hotdog that's calling from the menu... and when i finished it, the chilli meat-with some fresh chilli sprinkles really explode with their rich taste in my mouth...
after some heavy hitters, i'm up for some dessert in mind... so i stopped by at Bali Bakery near Kuta for some Sunset Smoothies and Italian Soda to wash the thirst away... and prepare for the main event...
Sanur Village Festival 2010 is the highlight of my trip... Vero told me about this annual event and it's something that you really need to check it out...
they've held this huge stage where Jazz musician colaborate with Traditional Balinese musician to create beautiful artistic music...
but for me, the main event is the food festival...!! they gathered surrounding five-star-hotels and famous restaurant to open up booths of food, and at very very cheap rate... the average price is IDR 25-35K... multiple food vendor, good food, cheap price... i walk in there with a thin wallet and an empty stomach... yum..!!
first stop of the night, Ryoshi Japanese Restaurant for a plate of Chicken Teriyaki... and the Onigiri tasted amazing with some shreded fish meat tucked inside...
right next door, was the Queen Tandoori Indian food... the chef himself cook this Vegetable Murtabak... so there's no doubt for me to take it and start to chew...
he happens to have this Fish Tika cooked in his Tandoori stove... so, that one too Mister...!!
hot fresh delicious Fish Tika... how could i resist..??
next stop was this grilled sausage from Mango Extension... the sausage is spicy, crisp on the outside, while juicy on the inside...
speaking of grilled stuff, Porky's was there, fully charged with their ribs, sausage, and delicious potaoes...
i don't eat pork, but this picture surely describe how juicy, tender, and tasty their ribs were.. to close the night, waffle and ice cream from Flapjack... IDR 15k worth of cool-happy-closure for the tummy...
the last day, again, woke up late, i rode to Ubud to have some crispy fried duck... the place is called Bebek Tepi Sawah... which translate to "duck on the side of the rice field"... as you could see, the place is bordered with rice field on their side...
the grand closure, half crispy fried duck, with curried long beans, and three type of spicy sambals... the fresh sambal Matah, super spicy fried chilli and shallot, and tomato sambals...
there you go folks, the reason i gain 2 kilograms on last weekend...
